An Introduction to Mindfulness Through Movement and Meditation – CANCELLED

June 19, 2023 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Register Now

Mindfulness can be an abstract concept, difficult to break down, and challenging to integrate into our lives in an effective way. The Mayo Clinic defines mindfulness as, “Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.” This workshop aims to introduce mindfulness in a relatable way, to break down common misconceptions, and to have participants experience mindfulness through movement and meditation. We’ll spend time doing gentle movement with full awareness, time in meditation further connecting to the present moment, and time in discussion. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of mindfulness, experience the benefits for themselves through the practices, and feel the power of practicing within a community of others. Suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to refresh their mindfulness practice.

Monday, June 19, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Public $24, Members $21 (plus applicable taxes and fees)
