Join renowned garden writer, Master Gardener, and tour leader Lorraine Flanigan for “The Globe-Trotting Gardener”, a fun-filled look at some of the world’s best garden travel destinations–no passport required! From classic English gardens and the formal parterres of French chateaux to contemporary public spaces in Duisburg’s Landschaftspark, Lorraine’s talk highlights some of the most beautiful, unusual and off-the-beaten path parks, gardens and festivals in the world, with bonus peeks at Chaumont-sur-Loire, Chelsea, and Floriade 2012.

Additional support for tonight’s lecture is provided by Cruisenet Tours & Travel Inc.
Bitten by the travel bug? Then come early to take in the TRAVEL FAIR in the TBG lobby beginning at 5:30 p.m. Gather up information, and meet some of the amazing tour operators and well-known horticultural hosts that can whisk you away to the greatest gardens in the world. Visit all the operators and get your TBG passport stamped for a chance to win a gift package of Traveler’s Essentials from Garden Shop.

And don’t miss TALKING BOOKS from 6:45 to 7 p.m., for an enlightening tour through the world of garden travel resources available in the Weston Family Library. While you’re there, take the time to peek at the newly hung Student Art Show.

Reasonably priced light meals, prepared by Sequel Catering, are available for purchase in the lobby prior to the lecture. Don’t forget to visit the Garden Shop to view our new arrivals. TBG members receive a discount on their purchases.
