For many people, gardens are far more than collections of plants. They are an escape, a source of peace and a place to refresh. The TBG is exactly that—a beloved getaway from the pace and pressures of daily life.
Gardens have long been a companion to me, offering comfort and joy far beyond my passion for plants. In a world that often moves too fast, we all need spaces where we can slow down, step away, and be transported. We become deeply attached to places that nurture us, and the Toronto Botanical Garden is that place for me. It’s a sanctuary that everyone deserves. Early morning is my favourite time to visit.
It’s a vital place where people come together, build connections and share experiences. It brightens people’s days and enriches their lives. That’s my observation, and I’ve been fortunate to engage deeply with this Garden for decades. It’s those experiences that inspire me to return again and again.
This year, TBG celebrates its 70th year as a public park, and its 20th anniversary as a botanical garden. It’s launched its most ambitious Hearts & Flowers annual campaign ever with a goal is to raise $275,000 in support of its mission to connect plants and people.
Double your gift through our $51,000 matching gift campaign, generously provided by our Board of Directors, every one of whom has donated to create this match. That’s inspiring and I will be making my gift to the campaign today too!
At a time when the world can feel overwhelming, the TBG offers a refuge. It’s a place to reset, rebuild, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you visit to immerse yourself in the passion for plants, to nurture your health and well-being, to gather with others, or simply to enjoy a moment of solitude, the Garden is there to meet you where you are. Whatever your need—connection or escape—you can find it here.
The Garden needs our support to thrive. Please give generously today, for 2X the impact.
