Become a Donor

As a registered charitable organization, we are dedicated to using every dollar received effectively, enriching the lives of our visitors and promoting environmental stewardship. We value your contribution, which furthers our vision to be a garden for all. We rely on your support and donations to sustain our core operations, while also building our ability to increase capacity and expand our offerings. Your donation is the lifeline of our collective efforts.

As we reflect on the year, it brings me great joy to know that we have strengthened many elements of the Garden we love. Through your continuous support, we planted more than 2,000 new plants in 2023, facilitated over 14,000 hours of lifelong learning opportunities for diverse communities of all ages, and hosted 148 programs that welcomed both the public and TBG members to experience art, culture, and education through the lens of nature.

Donations
A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and goes to support the many wonderful programs and gardens at the TBG.  All donations are acknowledged and donations over $10 receive a charitable tax receipt for the full amount.

Tribute, Celebratory, and In Memoriam Gifts
Celebrating a Special Occasion? Here’s a wonderful way to acknowledge the joy of a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, or other special occasions. We will send a card to the honouree informing them that you have made a donation in their honour. Depending on the type of In Memoriam or Celebratory gift selected, we can arrange a private unveiling or planting ceremony.

Gifts of Stock
It’s easy to make a donation of securities to the Toronto Botanical Garden, which is a registered educational charity, and beneficial to you as well as us. The TBG will issue a charitable tax receipt for the full appreciated value of your gift, based on the closing trading price on the day it is received. Your donation will help support the TBG gardens, along with the educational and community-focused programs and activities that make TBG Toronto’s dynamic horticultural hub.
