Take a Self Guided Tour

Of all the native trees, none is more enchanting in flower than the redbud (Cercis canadensis), shown here in full bloom in late May in Nature’s Garden. Once the small pea-like flowers wither and fall, large, heart-shaped leaves emerge. They turn bright gold-yellow in autumn.

The gardens are open for you to enjoy. Download and review a map of the gardens before you arrive or pull it up on your phone when you’re in the gardens. Follow the paths that take you through our 4 acres of beautiful gardens, and extend your visit by strolling through Edwards Gardens and follow the Don Valley ravine trails south of the gardens.

The gardens are open daily from dawn until dusk and admission is FREE! Onsite washrooms are open daily.

  • Walk the Don. Download a self-guided walking tour of Wilket Creek developed by TRCA. This loop offers a series of contrasts. The walk begins in manicured gardens, meanders through an ever-changing valley, climbs the shore of an ancient lake, and descends into the wider valley of the West Don River. It follows a small watercourse degraded through intense pressure from rapid urban development.
