What’s Open and What’s Not

Our Gardens are Open Daily, Dawn until Dusk

May 11, 2021 Update – Our gardens as well as Edwards Gardens and the Don Valley ravine are open for you to enjoy. The gardens are open from dawn until dusk and admission is FREE! For What’s in Bloom in our gardens follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
For the safety of all please follow the current guidance of the City of Toronto and practice physical distancing of at least two meters and refrain from leaving your home if you are feeling unwell. Our building is temporarily closed to the public and staff are working remotely. 

Parking

The parking lot adjacent to the gardens is also open. Parking is $2.50 per hour with all proceeds supporting the Toronto Botanical Garden which is a registered charity. TBG members receive FREE parking. For more information on paid parking at TBG or if you’d like to a member click here.

Washrooms

Onsite washrooms are available in the adjacent Edwards Gardens. They are open daily from 9 a.m. to dusk in Spring and Summer 2021. These washrooms are managed by the City of Toronto. The washrooms in the TBG building remain temporarily closed.

Shopping & Dining

  • Our shop will be offering curbside pick up and delivery only. Garden Shop will re-open in Stage 2 of the provincial re-opening plan with a 25 per cent capacity. For more details on our hours  CLICK HERE. You can browse all of our products  in our online shop 24/7. 
  • The TBG Bloom Cafe is now open daily from 9 a.m. Check their instagram (@tbgbloomcafe) for updates.

Education at TBG

  • Adult Education and Family Programs are offered online. All in-person educational programs have been paused.
  • Due to the uncertainty of provincial restrictions this summer we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2021 march break and summer camps.

Booking your event at TBG

We are accepting event booking in the gardens for 2021 and 2022. Indoor and outdoor options are available. Please contact our rental department for further details.

Temporary Closures

  • Our building is temporarily closed to the public and staff are working remotely.
  • The Weston Family Library remains closed however is now offering Curbside Pick up and Returns.
  • There are some path closures in Edwards Gardens/Wilket Creek due to ongoing construction.
