Accessibility

The Toronto Botanical Garden team is always pleased to assist you in any way we can. Should you require any assistance to enhance your visit with us, we would be happy to provide it upon request.

Support Person

Access 2 Card holders and people with disabilities who require a support person are granted free admission to the event or program for their support person, while the person with the disability pays the regular admission/program fee. A support person is an adult who accompanies a person with a disability to assist them in fully participating in the entire program or event. Support person tickets/admission are subject to availability. For more information on Accessible Services at our venues or support persons, please contact programsupport@torontobotanicalgarden.ca.

Washrooms

On the main floor there are accessible washrooms off the lobby beside the library.

Elevator

An elevator provides access between the first and second floors, located in the hallway between the library and Garden Hall on the main level, and at the top of the stairs on the second floor.

Wheelchair loans

One wheelchair is available and can be signed out during your visit. Please call 416-397-1341 to reserve in advance.

Earplugs

Earplugs are available at the welcome/information desk and are complimentary upon request.

Surface parking

Accessible parking is available near the front entrance to the building. Ten spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sensory Backpack

There is one sensory backpack that can be signed out during your visit. The backpack includes headphones, sunglasses, and fidget toys that assist individuals with sensory processing disabilities to better filter out external stimuli (such as loud sounds; bright lights).  Please call 416-397-1341 to reserve in advance.
