TBG Commission Premiere with Composer Rea Beaumont: A Listening Experience

The Toronto Botanical Garden is delighted to present the world premiere of a captivating new composition by composer-pianist Rea Beaumont. Commissioned for the Garden’s 70th Anniversary, this evocative half-hour work offers a fresh sonic perspective on the natural beauty of the grounds, creating an immersive and unforgettable listening experience.
Join us for this special event, which also marks the launch of Beaumont’s seventh album. The premiere will be followed by a Q&A session with the composer, who will be in attendance to introduce the piece and share insights into her creative process.

About Rea Beaumont
Composer-pianist Dr. Rea Beaumont is the recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her contributions to music, art, and culture, in addition to the SOCAN Foundation / MusCan Award of Excellence for the Advancement of Research in Canadian Music. Her albums are often reviewed as “beautiful” and are broadcast worldwide.
