Summer Nature Camp – Wilderness Camp (August 12-16, 2024)

Join TBGKids for an interactive, educational, and engaging Summer Nature Camp in TBG’s cozy nature-themed classroom, expansive garden and the nearby ravine. Each week will explore a new theme that will help campers learn from nature. From STEAM camp to a Magical Adventure week, campers will create nature-themed art, learn about plants and animals through hands-on activities, explore the forests and creek, and, of course, have a campfire! Each camper will create a themed craft to take home at the end of the camp day. Please note all camps are peanut and tree-nut free. 

Wilderness is all around us! During this adventurous week, campers will learn how to safely make a fire, build a forest shelter and learn about the uses of different plants in the Wilket creek ravine! 

Dates: August 12 – 16, 2024
Hours:  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Age Groups: 4 to 5 years, 5 to 7 years, 7 to 9 years, 9 to 11 years.  

Campers wishing to attend camp together should choose the same age range as there is only one group per range. Overlap in age ranges is designed to allow for booking with friends and for flexibility in choosing the right age group for the camper. 

Camp Fees: $345/week
Camper Registration Form: To ensure we have all the information we need to provide a safe and fulfilling camp for each camper we ask that all parents/guardians fill out a camper registration form one week prior to the start of camp. You will receive an email with a link to the camper registration form to your email. If you have not received it prior to one week before the start date of your camp please email education@torontobotanicalgarden.ca.

Extended Care
Drop off as early as 8:00 a.m., pick up as late as 5 p.m. 
Extended Care Fees: $60/week ($48 on short weeks)

Cancellation Policy: A full refund on camps is provided on any camp if the refund request is made in writing to education@torontobotanicalgarden.cafour weeks prior to the first day of camp. If your campers fall ill and you are requesting a refund with less than four weeks’ notice please note we may require a doctor’s note.

Waitlist Option: If the week you’re eyeing seems to be fully booked, don’t fret! Reach out to us at education@torontobotanicalgarden.ca, and we’ll add you to the waitlist. Spots frequently become available throughout the summer, and we don’t want you to miss out on the fun!

Discover Our Weekly Themes! 

Creature Camp (July 2 to 5 | August 6 to 9)
Explore gardens, forests, and creeks to learn about animals and bugs. Develop skills in identifying animal tracks, try birding, and safely get to know TBG’s honeybees. 

STEAM Camp (July 8 to 12 | July 29 to August 2)
Dive into Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Get hands-on with science activities, explore the garden’s wonders, and learn from animals’ smart building and problem-solving skills. 

Wilderness Camp (July 15 to 19 | August 12 to 16)
Adventure awaits as campers learn to safely make a fire, build a forest shelter, and discover the uses of different plants in the Wilket Creek ravine. 

Magical Adventure Camp (July 22 to 26 | August 19 to 23)
Uncover the magic of the forest! Make a wand, learn nature potions, create stories about magical creatures, and craft your own fairy door to take home. 

Celebrate Summer Camp (August 26 to 30)
Join us for classic summer games, building friendships, and creating memories. Cap off the week with our “Celebrate Summer Party” for the perfect close to a week filled with summer pleasures.
