Petal to Paper: Paper Magnolia Workshop

Materials Provided:
- Selection of doublette crepe paper
- 180g green crepe paper
- Floral Wire
- Floral Tape
- Aleene’s Glue
- Soft Pastels including PanPastels
- Alcohol Markers
- Various brushes and sponges
- Kraft paper for wrapping flowers
What To Bring:
- Sharp scissors (4”-5”) (optional)
- Additional colouring materials (optional)
Saturday, January 31, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Public $67, TBG Members $57 (plus applicable taxes and fees)
Note: There will be a 30-minute break for lunch. We recommend bringing lunch as there are limited options nearby.
About Nancy Lalicon
Nancy Lalicon is a multi-media sculptor specializing in creating botanically accurate paper flowers and plants, and facilitating workshops for community art organizations and local groups around Toronto and the GTA. From Peonies to Jupiter’s Beard to the Blazing Star, Nancy has mastered the intricate art of creating environmentally friendly paper replicas; a modern-day, three-dimensional take on botanical drawing.
Trained in the Fine Arts at the University of Victoria and the Emily Carr College of Art in BC, she received an MFA from Concordia University, Montreal. Nancy lives in East Toronto with a large family who lovingly tolerate all her studio hours and mountains of flowers and roots.
