Native Bee Discovery Series

Join Prafulla Prabhu in this two-night workshop to learn about the important role bees play in modern life. Bees are a critical part of our ecosystems and our lives. From coffee, fruits, vegetables, to candles, wax artworks, cotton and so much more – bees play an important role in modern life. More importantly, they are responsible for a third of the food we consume on a regular basis. With changes to our climate, our interdependent relationship is coming into sharper focus.
Mondays, May 9 and 16, 7 to 8 p.m.
Public $40, TBG Member or Volunteer $32 (plus fees + HST)
May 9: Learn more about bees in North America, the differences between native bees and honeybees, and how we might support them.
May 16: Learn more about gentle solitary bees in North America, why native bees are great pollinators, and how we might support native bees against threats.
Safe Program Access
To ensure the safety of our participants and instructors, all staff, volunteers, and participants will be required to wear masks indoors and maintain physical distancing.
You will also be asked to complete a mandatory paperless COVID-19 Self-Assessment prior to your participation. Please review our Health and Safety Policies and Refund Policy and Terms of Agreement.
This is an Adult Education program at TBG. All participants must be 16+.
