Fun with Flowers: Flowers Forever Workshop

Celebrate love—romantic or platonic—while creating something beautiful and sustainable. Join us for a hands-on dried flower arranging workshop where you’ll design your own everlasting bouquet, perfect for gifting or keeping.
Guided by artist, designer, and farmer florist Sylvia Cheng of Growing Tkaronto Floristry, you’ll learn how to create a presentation-style dried floral bouquet using 100% locally grown materials. Whether you’re a beginner or a budding florist, this workshop invites you to tap into your creativity, relax, and leave with a one-of-a-kind floral keepsake.
Whether you’re planning a thoughtful Valentine’s date, a Galentine’s gathering with friends, or a solo creative escape, this feel-good workshop is a beautiful way to mark the season of love, sustainably.

About Sylvia Cheng
Sylvia Cheng is an award-winning artist, designer, and the founder of Growing Tkaronto Floristry — a queer, BIPOC-owned urban flower farm and contemporary floral studio based in Toronto.
With formal training in fine arts and design from OCAD University and the Institute of Design (Chicago), Sylvia brings a bold, interdisciplinary approach to floristry, blending visual storytelling with ecological responsibility. Her work centers sustainability, anti-oppressive values, and design principles that challenge the status quo. Through Growing Tkaronto Floristry, she creates audacious, sustainable florals for weddings, events, and editorials using 100% local flowers.
