Botanical Linocut with Alan Li
April 15, 2023 @ 1:00 pm – May 6, 2023 @ 3:00 pm
In this 3-part series, you’ll create original botanical art through the process of Linocut relief printmaking. Our instructor will demonstrate how to carve your design onto a linoleum block and techniques for hand-printing your images. Suggestions for setting up a printmaking workspace at home will also be discussed.
At the end of the course, you’ll take home a variety of hand-crafted prints made on Japanese Mulberry paper, blank mixed media Greeting Cards and toned art papers.
Please bring your own photos, sketches, or designs for inspiration and reference. Art materials will be provided.
Saturdays, April 15, 29 and May 6, 1 to 3 p.m.
