Former Toronto Star gardening columnist Sonia Day celebrates the amazing flowers of Mexico in a talk about her latest book, The Mexico Lunch Party: A Sisters of the Soil Novel. A fun afternoon with a special treat – Capitorada, or Mexican Bread Pudding, baked by Sonia herself- thrown in.
Sonia’s new book will be available for sale and is happy to personalize your copy at the end of the talk.

About Sonia Day
Sonia is the author of books eight books (so far) and has written for numerous newspapers and magazines. For two decades, she contributed a popular weekly gardening column called The Real Dirt to the Toronto Star which ended in March 2018. She is also a painter. Her work is in the City of Toronto’s permanent collection and has been purchased by corporations like the Royal Bank and Versa Services –and by hundreds of private buyers everywhere she’s lived.
