Join us in celebrating the release of Dr. Nadina Galle’s debut book, “The Nature of Our Cities: Harnessing the Power of the Natural World to Survive a Changing Planet”, a stirring exploration of how innovators worldwide are merging urban nature with cutting-edge technologies to safeguard our cities from the impacts of climate change and promote the well-being of their inhabitants. Nadina will share excerpts from her book, followed by a thought-provoking conversation about its themes and implications. This will be followed by questions from the audience and a book sale and signing by Nadina. Let’s come together to explore how urban nature can enrich our communities and common future. Light refreshments will be provided.

About Dr. Nadina Galle

Dr. Nadina Galle is a Dutch-Canadian ecological engineer, TEDx & keynote speaker, podcaster, and author. A pioneer of the “Internet of Nature” concept, she leads a global movement to integrate technology with urban nature. Nadina has received numerous accolades, including the European Space Agency’s top prize and a Fulbright scholarship for her work at MIT’s Senseable City Lab. Recently named a 2024 National Geographic Explorer, she explores how cities in Latin America are adopting the “Internet of Nature” to build resilient ecosystems.
