Garden Tune-Up: Winter Pruning Made Simple

Join TBG’s Lead Horticulturist Leslie Hockley, as she demonstrates winter pruning practices for shrubs, trees and vines. The session will begin with an indoor lecture-style presentation covering techniques and visual cues for determining when and how to prune. Afterwards, Leslie will take participants on a guided tour through the gardens and demonstrate the techniques discussed in the lecture. Please dress according to the weather conditions.
Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Public $25, TBG Members $20 (plus applicable taxes and fees).
About Leslie Hockley
TBG’s Lead Horticulturist, Leslie Hockley is passionate about all things public gardens. Before joining TBG in 2023, Leslie worked for several botanical gardens in North America in garden maintenance, design, tree care and plant records roles. She is a Red Seal Endorsed Horticulturist and has studied horticulture at Humber College and the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture.
