TBGKids Birthday Party

At the Toronto Botanical Garden, we offer a unique and memorable birthday party experience for children. With the guidance of our Nature Educator, children will get hands-on with nature, painting and decorating their own pots and propagating plants to take home. These painted and decorated pots make a lovely take-home gift for all the guests. The second hour allows for free time where families can enjoy the space, open presents, have cake and socialize in our nature-themed James Boyd Children’s Centre. 

Party Details

Duration: 2 hours

Activities:

• First Hour: Guided by our Nature Educator, children will paint and decorate their own pot and propagate a plant to take home. 
• Second Hour: Self-guided time for parents and grown-ups to open presents, enjoy cake, or socialize and play in the nature-themed Children’s Centre.

Additional Information:

• Setup and Takedown Time: You are welcome to arrive 30 minutes before the party for set-up and stay 30 minutes after for takedown.
• Capacity: Up to 30 people (children and adults)
• Cost: $250+HST (includes space and materials for the planting activity)

FAQ

• How do I pay for the birthday party? You will receive an invoice with payment instructions. Must be paid three days before the date.
• What is included in the cost of the party? The $250+HST fee includes the use of the space for two hours, all materials needed for the planting activity, and the guidance of our Nature Educator. 
• Can we bring our own food and decorations? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food, cake, and decorations. We encourage you to promote sustainability by using eco-friendly decorations and minimizing waste. Consider using reusable or biodegradable plates, cups, and utensils and avoid single-use plastics. You can arrive 30 minutes before the party to set up and stay 30 minutes after for takedown.
• Is there a limit on the number of guests? The space can accommodate up to 30 people, including both children and adults. Unfortunately, due to the size of the room, we are not able to add any additional participants.
• What happens if it rains? Our Children’s Centre is an indoor space located inside the Toronto Botanical Garden building, so the party can proceed as planned regardless of the weather.
