SUMMARY:Guided Breathwork Experience: Purpose
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a transformative experience\, where you’ll find inner peace and relaxation.Toronto Botanical Garden has partnered with Mira Kopanarov\, a Storyteller and Artist\, to offer a six-month breathwork experience program for creative transformation. Each class is independent and tailored towards gradual body and mind care. You can register for as many or as few as you like. The Guided Breathwork Experience program at the Toronto Botanical Garden uniquely combines breath with storytelling\, movement\, and nature to create a healthy and creative journey into the new year. Each class’ focus will be different\, progressively allowing your awareness and body to be healthier and energized. The facilitator will help you with grounding\, emotional resilience\, community support\, and ultimately cultivating freedom and confidence in all areas of life through day-to-day practices. https://youtube.com/shorts/gGJTDKD42oA?feature=share Purpose in June will be a class designed for anyone longing to find purpose and guidance pursuing it. From an early age\, we are put in boxes and listen to social narratives. We start defining ourselves through our studies\, work\, families and social circles. The media and business shape our wants and needs and little time is left to ask “what am I here for?”. For the ones who ask this question\, the fear of responsibilities and obligations keeps the calling at bay. This is when the body absorbs the longing and starts showing us through various pains and signs that something within wants to come out. There is no age to find and expand your purpose. Releasing stagnant energies from the body and listening to your inner purpose are the two most important ingredients for a healthy and happy life. The breathwork class includes meditation\, creative practice\, active breathing for 40 mins\, and movement. The session is complimented by organic teas and healthy snack. 2+ hours. June is full of sunshine and life. The ideal time to listen to the inner calling and discover a simple yet powerful path within- your purpose. Open your senses\, embrace nature and ask within “What am I here for\, how can I serve\, how do I blossom”? Friday\, June 6 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Registration: Public $66\, TBG Members $59 (plus applicable taxes and fees) What you need to bring: reusable water bottleyoga matblanketeye masksmall pillowdress comfortableHow to prepare: please avoid meat\, sugar\, alcohol\, spicy and heavy foods\, drugs\, and smoking at least 3 days priorspend time in nature the day of the event\, or the day beforeavoid technology on the day of the eventavoid arguments and conflictsset up intentions for yourself onlyPlease note that this group class is a safe place where judgment\, hate\, or discrimination of any kind is not welcome. She was amazed by the possibilities and beauty of paper quilling\, that she decided to pursue it as a full-time career. Since then\, she has been passionately mastering this technique and has created many artworks drawing inspiration from nature\, music and travel. She cuts the paper strips in different widths to add depth and dimension to her creations. She loves to play with the colours and experiment with the quilling techniques to create her own distinctive style. Deepa believes that anyone can learn this art form\, regardless of their age or skill level and she hosts many workshops to spread the joy of quilling. SUMMARY:Hellebore Sale
DESCRIPTION:It’s Back! Our popular Hellebore Sale. Our selection of Hellebores will be available for pre-order through our Online Shop starting on Thursday\, February 17\, 2025. \n\n\n\nOrders will be ready for in-person pickup on Saturday\, April 5\, 2025 at the Toronto Botanical Garden Floral Hall from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hellebores will also be available to purchase on the day of the sale. These highly hybridized plants boast beautiful flowers\, evergreen foliage\, and are one of the earliest blooming perennials. The modern hybrids of this genus build upon the classics and pack a punch. Helleborus x ballardiae\, Helleborus x glandorfensis and\, Helleborus x iburgensis combine the cold hardiness of Helleborus niger with the colour selections of Helleborus x hybridus\, with the added bonuses of disease resistance and larger showier blooms. These plants do well in the garden or in containers. When you purchase your hellebores make sure to place it in a part shade location away from harsh cold winds. They prefer soils that are rich in humus with good drainage and aren’t afraid of getting wet feet in the winter months. The ideal time to plant it is in the fall before the ground freezes. Spring is also a great option\, just make sure to provide adequate water through the growing months. \n\n\n\nA majority of Lenten rose hybrids have Helleborus niger as one of the parent plants\, so it may take your plant a year or two to settle into its new home before it blooms. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFor more information contact the Garden Shop at orders@torontobotanicalgarden.ca.

SUMMARY:Guided Breathwork Experience: Springing
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a transformative experience\, where you’ll find inner peace and relaxation.Toronto Botanical Garden has partnered with Mira Kopanarov\, a Storyteller and Artist\, to offer a six-month breathwork experience program for creative transformation. We go through multiple transitions in life. The real meaning of self care is finding confidence and care for yourself in every moment throughout the day. During this class we will focus on how to use deep breath and creative expression to discover the passion for the next chapter in life. Furthermore\, how to have smoother and healthier transitions. Lives change so rapidly that the skill to pause will be highly valued for its inherently intelligent way to reflect and make an informed decision. No matter your age and career status\, health concerns or upbringing\, we all share a rapidly evolving world that is providing challenging problems to solve. When we pause\, we allow the kindness we have cultivated\, the experience and passion to lead the way. If we are in a constant fight-or-flight mode this is what our world will look like too. The breathwork class includes mediation\, creative practice\, active breathing for 40 mins\, and movement. The session is complimented by organic teas and gifts to take home. The entire session lasts 2+ hours. March is a month to welcome new seasons with the experience built from enduring the harsher winter months. Like with any seasonal changes we need to prepare for the transition period and clean any remaining debris from the garden to start the new harvest. Saturday\, March 22 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
