TBG Celebrates National Volunteer Week: Hasmik

In honour of National Volunteer Week, we at the Toronto Botanical Garden are delighted to be able to profile just a few of our wonderful volunteers, who are a such great support to the TBG. In fact, if we profiled one volunteer a day for 365 days, we still would not be able to thank them all.

The volunteers featured this week are representative of the quality and depth of skills and experience our volunteers bring to their various roles. We are privileged and proud to have so many terrific volunteers, and thank each and every one of them for the valued contribution they make. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without them.

Hasmik has been a member of and volunteer for  TBG since 2010. Hasmik volunteers on a regular basis at reception, and she also  helps with lectures, interviews potential volunteers and is an adult education course ambassador, amongst other duties!. Hasmik is also a member of the NTHS and has taken part in the group’s flower shows,

Hasmik has a professional background in the insurance industry working in this sector for over 20 years and earning her CIP designation.

In 2009, she obtained the Professional Floral Design Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Floral Design.

Hasmik says she  “loves TBG for its happy atmosphere and because I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring people” and we are very proud and privileged to have such a multi talented individual like Hasmik as one of our volunteers. Thank you for all that you do Hasmik.
