Urban Biodiversity Hike – Hike Program

Urban environments present many challenges for biodiversity, but they also create unique opportunities to cultivate a love of nature and a conservation ethic.  As we hike through Edwards Gardens and the Wilket Creek Ravine, students will see and discuss examples of both conservation challenges and opportunities. They will learn about native and non-native species, the benefits of native biodiversity, and how to be a caregiver of the land.
