About Tanya Carvalho
Tanya Carvalho is the Territory Manager of Canada for Ball FloraPlant and Selecta One. Tanya’s 16+ years working in the horticulture industry started at Bradford Greenhouses. After working part time in the garden centre, she quickly moved into the wholesale division creating retail programs with Canadian buyers and greenhouse production. Tanya’s passion for plants and blooms grew, and after 13 years, she opened her own business, Tanya Carvalho Consulting, to work with independent garden centres, greenhouses and major retailers across Ontario. From website design, social media content and seasonal retail programming she started to share her passion with a wider audience encouraging everyone to #letsgetgrowing! In August of 2017 Tanya accepted her current role with Ball Horticultural, a global leader in the horticulture industry. Here she has the opportunity to travel the world to bring ground-breaking, innovative flowers to our Canadian growers, garden centres, retailers and your gardens. Tanya can be found speaking across the country promoting the exciting new flowers and foliage coming to Canada, walking greenhouse crops, or visiting flower trials across North America. Now, she’s bringing those varieties for the first time to the Toronto Botanical Garden’s new trial gardens! Her greatest achievement is bringing her passion alive through her career. She shares her love of plants through her social media and has been featured many times in Flora Daily for her social feed.
