Retail Shop New Health and Safety Practices and Procedures

What you need to know before and when you arrive at the Garden Shop
You will be asked to wear a mask when entering the shop. If you do not have one of your own, we will have them available for purchase ($2) with all proceeds going to TBG to support the Garden. Our staff will also be wearing the appropriate PPE including masks. You will find stanchions outside to control entry into the store. In addition, markings will be on the ground to ensure that guests remains 2m (6 ft) apart while waiting to enter the shop. We will be limiting the maximum number of shoppers to six at one time, so that all guest has enough space to shop comfortably. We would ask that you limit two people per household to ensure other individuals have a chance to visit our shop.

What to expect while you are shopping
You will find sanitizer or hand-washing stations available as you enter and exit the building. There will also be signs reminding you to keep a safe distance from each other. Our retail staff will do their best to give you space as they work, and we ask that you return the favour. We have also introduced markings on the floor indicating which way the traffic will flow while in the shop. Please follow them.

What to expect when you check out
Everyone should keep 2m (6 ft) apart in the check out line. This distance will be marked on the floor. Our checkout has a plexiglass shield to help protect you and our cashiers. As you go to pay, consider tapping your credit card or debit card rather than touching the pin pad since many banks have increased their limit to $250. We will be sanitizing the touch pad after every use should a guest need to utilize the number pad.

Additional Sanitation Practices
Our staff will be cleaning and disinfecting the shop area daily before opening to the public. Surfaces frequently touched areas such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, countertops and electronics will be wiped down on an hourly basis. The shop will undergo additional cleaning at the end of the day, after closure.
