Edwards Summer Music Series: Maiko Watson Ensemble featuring Okan and Ammoye Edwards Summer Music Series: Maiko Watson Ensemble featuring Okan and Ammoye

Guyanese-Canadian R&B vocalist Maiko Watson has hand picked some of the most talented musicians from across the 6ix for a evening of “tropical disco soul”. The eight piece ensemble will be performing re-imagined classics, rare cuts and originals. Sixties 60s doo-wop meets Studio 54, with a bit of island spice.

Joining her are Reggae songstress Ammoye and Soul singer Tash Lorayne, featuring Cuban percussion and violin duo Okan. This textural layering of velvet harmonies, pulsating rhythms, and cultural styles, is guaranteed to bring you to your feet!
