Gentiana angustifolia (Alpine gentian) This truly is a garden gem found in the trough in the Demonstration Courtyard.  The trumpets seen here are still closed and will open to an electric blue.

Anemone hupehensis var. japonica ‘Pamina’ (Japanese anemone) Found in the Entry Garden along Lawrence Street, its bright vibrant pink colour can be easily seen from the sidewalk.

Anemone tomentosa 'Robustissima' (Grapeleaf anemone)

Anemone tomentosa ‘Robustissima’ (Grapeleaf anemone) This show-stopper is on the corner of the Entry Garden as you approach from the East.  It is extremely hardy for cold climates and has been flowering since August.

Anemone x hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson' (Japanese anemone, windflower)

Anemone x hybrida ‘Andrea Atkinson’ (Japanese anemone, windflower) On the north side of the Garden Hall Courtyard bank, Andrea Atkinson has been in flower for weeks now, having white flowers tinged with pink & green on the outer sides.

Anemone x hybrida ‘Whirlwind’ (Japanese anemone) This beauty found in the Knot Garden is described as having pure white, semi-double flowers.

Colchicum 'The Giant'

Another colchicum found in the Entry Garden along the Lawrence sidewalk and laneway, is Colchicum ‘The Giant’.
