Experience 19 Private Gardens on Father’s Day Weekend

Toronto Botanical Garden’s 27th annual tour of private gardens in Toronto takes place on Father’s Day weekend (Saturday, June 14 and Sunday June 15, 2014). This self-guided tour is done at the pace and interest of the participant. Complimentary shuttle buses allow garden-goers to ‘hop on and off” as they make their way around the garden route. If there are any questions, Toronto Master Gardeners are stationed in each garden to help identify unusual plants and points of interest. A printed guide and map are also provided with the purchase of your ticket and some gardens even have QR codes to download the full plant list. Before you head home, be sure to visit the TBG Pop-up Garden Shop at tour headquarters.

Tickets will be available for purchase at Tour Headquarters in York Mills Park on both Saturday and Sunday, or at Ticket Outlets throughout the GTA (see below)

Date: Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15

Refuel at tour headquarters with a coffee and a sweet or savory gourmet tortillas created by Chocosol. These fresh tortillas are local, sustainable and inspired by Indigenous traditions.  You can also enjoy the BBQ and Poutine Station by Vert Catering (additional fees apply for food and beverage).

MarkCullen-HeadShot2010“This neighbourhood was selected for the extraordinary mature gardens that punctuate its hill-and-dale topography and for the winding roads that provide stunning views around every turn.
This is truly “where the river meets the ravine,” steps away from Yonge Street and the urban core of North York. Hogg’s Hollow shows once more that Toronto is a city of gardens.”
Unquestionably the crème de la crème of garden tours—classy, elegant, well organized, full of useful information about plants worth growing.”
