[TG14STWW] Hands-on activities and outdoor games introduce habitat concepts and the busy community of birds, insects, plants, and animals that live in our gardens and ravine.

Rocks, Minerals and Erosion HIKE PROGRAM
Rocks, Minerals and Erosion
[TG14SHRM] Students will discover the difference between igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rock and how each is created. Classes search for their own special stone, look for examples of erosion in the landscape, and try out some rockin’ science experiments on this guided hike.

Indoor programs are available on special request or when the weather prohibits an outdoor program.

School Registration

  • Runs Tuesday through Friday Spring Dates: April 14 to June 19 Fall dates: September 22 to October 30 NB: Dates are not guaranteed until trip is confirmed. School programs are two hours long and cost $9/student. Classes wishing to stay for the entire day will be charged an extra $1/student for a self-guided tour kit.
