Grade 4 Habitats Winter School Program

By | School Visits | Tags: , , , | January 1, 2013 | No comments

This unique program takes place in the TBG’s James Boyd Children’s Centre and the surrounding grounds. Living Winter provides innovative, curriculum-linked habitat programs for children, and encourages students to appreciate this urban green space from new perspectives through immersion and hands-on learning. Each program supports the Ontario science curriculum for Grade 4 students, and is designed and taught by Ontario Certified Teachers.

Previously available only to priority students, all Grade 4 students now have the opportunity to explore outdoor winter habitats, dissect owl pellets, examine pelts and skulls, and even hand-feed chickadees!

Spaces for the Living Winter 2012/2013 season are limited and filling up fast! Book now to avoid disappointment.

AVAILABLE DATES:
November 13 to November 16, December 7, January 25, February 15, and February 26 to March 1. Programs run Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

COST: $15 per student.
