Bring your Guides and Scouts (and Brownies and Cub Scouts) to the Toronto Botanical Garden for a fun session about nature in the city.
Programs are available seasonally on request and are approximately two hours long.
Scouts and Guides: Winter Owl Prowl
Who-hoo-hoo knows which owls make the forests of Toronto their home? Learn all about local owls, dissect an owl pellet and go on a ravine hike to listen for hoots. This program is offered evenings and weekends from January to March. [TG16SGOP]
Scouts and Guides: Spring Discovery Hike
Leap into spring with a hike along Wilket Creek to explore the signs of the season. Learn about seedlings, nesting birds and rivers in springtime and plant a seed to take home. This program is offered evenings and weekends from April to June. [TG16SGDH]
Scouts and Guides: Fall Seed Hike
Explore the changing season by investigating changing plants. Flutter on the wind with milkweed seeds, hunt for acorns with fluffy-tailed squirrels and learn how to save autumn seeds for your home or garden. This program is offered evenings and weekends in September and October. [TG16SGSH]
Fees: $200 for groups up to 20 children and up to 4 adults; Additional children or adults $10 each
