Last fall the TBG unveiled a new location for its art gallery in the Weston Family Library. The inaugural exhibition featured works by artists Penelope Stewart and Jean Johnson, whose art met with continuous praise and delighted our members and the public. It is remarkable how much the introduction of art to the walls of the library has transformed the space!
For 2013, we will be hosting four new exhibitions in the winter, spring, summer, and fall months, each with its own unique focus and interpretation of horticulture. The theme of our first exhibition for 2013 will focus on the work of TBG’s accomplished student artists. Each season, the TBG offers courses in art and photography through our adult education programming. TBG art courses are taught by celebrated and distinguished artists from the Greater Toronto Area, and range from those for beginner artists to those with experience. This student art exhibition is a terrific opportunity to showcase the hard work of some of our talented students. You won’t want to miss it!
To celebrate the new exhibition, we are hosting a free opening celebration for members and the public, and we hope you will join us.
