Echinacea 'Solar Flare'

It’s the Long weekend …

and definitely time for coneflowers!  And you will find many as you walk along the path of the Entry Garden.  This stunner is Echinacea ‘Solar Flare’.

Also in the Entry Garden is good ‘ole Echinacea purpurea ‘Magnus’.  Look at that beautiful cone!

The Entry Garden meadow also has this beauty, Echinacea ‘Vintage Wine’.

In another section of the Entry Garden, Achillea ‘Walther Funcke’ (Yarrow) with Veronica ‘Eveline’ (Speedwell) makes a lovely combination.

Ok, so let’s get out of the Entry Garden for a moment and make our way to the Knot Garden where Acanthus hungaricus (Bear’s breeches)  are in full glorious flower.  They really do make a statement!

In the Terrace Garden we have a collection of native, hardy cactus, shown here is Opuntia ‘Lemon Spreader’ with soft yellow blooms – just fantastic!

Enjoy your long weekend safely!!
